2024 ACJV update #5

Hi everyone,

Many of you are busy with the harvest and the vintage, so I'll keep it short!

Easter Services

Good Friday, 10 am at St. Peter's, Ward. (Hot cross buns after the service)

Easter Sunday, 9 am at The Church of the Epiphany, Seddon. (Easter egg hunt and BBQ)

Seddon Monthly Prayer & Praise Meeting

We have decided to change our monthly prayer meeting time to 5 pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month. We try and mix praise, reflective prayer and asking prayer together at this meeting so that we go away refreshed and confident in God. Our first prayer meeting at this new time will be at Epiphany on Tuesday March 26th at 5 pm.

Six steps to Loving your Church

We're halfway through this excellent course and enjoying the discussions and implementing the simple suggestions for loving our church on Sundays. There is a follow up course called 'Six steps to encouragement' which helps us to become channels of encouragement as we speak God's life-changing word into each other's lives. 

ACJV Mission and Vision

In 2023 we took part in the revitalization discernment process and the Revitalize Nelson visit. As a follow up, the management team has agreed that I should write draft Mission and Vision statements to take to our congregations and the Management Team. A refreshed sense of our vision and mission will help us all focus on what God is calling us to in this season in the life of our church.
