Giving

As Christians we are called to give to the work of God’s Kingdom. Giving to support ministry and the needy was a key marker of the life of the early Church, and is still part of the Christian life today. We give as a community and trust God to provide for us as a community. Some of our giving goes to mundane things like paint, insurance and paying our minister but we trust that God is working through the mundane things to build his kingdom.

Giving is a responsibility for church members, but it is also a joy. It is a tangible demonstration of our trust in God, and an acknowledgement that he is Sovereign; all we have comes from him. Giving also helps us to dethrone idols which seek to take our hearts captive and draw us away from God.

The most consistent way to give is by direct credit.
