Our aim is to know Jesus and to make Him known

The Awatere Christian Joint Venture (ACJV) resulted from the merging of the Anglican and Presbyterian churches of the area in 1992.

Since 1992 we have worked hard to develop the church as a community church. This has resulted in a wide socio-economic base and many denominations represented within our fellowship.

We are Christian

We worship one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our core beliefs are expressed in the Apostles, Nicene and Athanasian Creeds.

What is the Apostles creed?

We are Biblical

We believe that the Bible is God’s trustworthy and truthful communication. It shows us both how to become a follower of Jesus and how to follow him.

Our aim is to know Jesus and to make Him known. We seek to do this by building the family of God within our community.

We are gospel focused

This means we have good news to share! Anyone can experience friendship with God by trusting in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to put them right with God.

We are Holy Spirit led

We desire to be led and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
