Our Minister

John was raised in a Presbyterian Church and began following Jesus as a teenager. He met his wife Sara while studying agriculture at Massey University. John and Sara have three adult children and three lively grandchildren

He studied theology at Laidlaw College in Henderson. He has worked in agricultural education and as a youth minister. He is an ordained minister.

John enjoyed playing and coaching rugby but now enjoys Crossfit style exercise and sometimes tests himself by entering a competition.

John says, “I’m growing as a follower of Jesus, and I am convinced that God is still transforming people and communities today through the Bible and the Holy Spirit.”
